  Born under the name Pfahl, but later changed to Swaebe Note that at the time of his birth, his mother had been divorced from Charles Pfahl for 7 years! His daughter, Carol Swaebe Stephen, has a copy of his birth certificate which has the father's name left blank. The GRO gives it as Pfahl which is confusing to say the least.
